Being unfamiliar with the blogosphere it has taken me a while to figure out what topic I should attempt to tackle, and until today I had no clue.
I’m what you can call the technologically un-savvy, the one that turns away from the new and ‘exciting’ games and gizmos. Today I actually realised the whole iPod and mp3 world scares me.
My boyfriends birthday is coming up and instead of resorting to the old clothes copout I thought id go out on a limb and splurge on the new, well not so new now, iPod gadget.
The shuffle, the nano, the storage capacity, the iTunes costs, the accessories... to me it sounds like a lot of time, effort and money to listen to what already comes free from the press of a button... the radio. I’m not usually such a scrooge, actually I’m quite flamboyant with money, after all you can’t take it with you when your times up, right?
Anyway, I finally opted for the iPod nano as apposed to the shuffle, but then came the choice of colours- blue, pink, green, silver- I wanted black. What I found most interesting was that the colour black wasn’t available to me, unless I went for the more expensive 8GB nano device-Thumbs up to the marketers of the apple iPod! However, it was the clever marketing that turned me away.
I’m a radio kind of girl, and I’ve decided to stick to what I know best... clothes!
